Although it's not quite as famous as Colorado's other big gay ski festivals, Aspen Gay Ski Week and Telluride Gay Ski Week, the emerging Vail Gay & Lesbian Ski Week has been picking up increased traction over the years. Vail Ski Week 2012 dates have not been announced - stay tuned. It's organized by Rocky Mountain Vacation Rentals, which can provide help with finding accommodations during the event.

Vail Valley comprises a cluster of popular gay ski resort towns in the Rockies, all convenient to I-70, which connects the region to Denver. The towns include Vail itself along with Avon, Eagle, Minturn, Edwards, and Beaver Creek. The Vail Gay & Lesbian Ski Week events are focused chiefly on the facilities at Vail and Beaver Creek.

The many festivities at Vail Ski Week include apres-ski socials, an big opening-night celebration, late-night partying opportunities, group ski days at Vail, a "spa, wine, and robe" parties, Vail bar tours, a silent auction, a Saturday-night "Starry Night" DJ party, closing celebration, and plenty more to keep you busy.
