Reno, Nevada's GLBT community continues to become more visible and organized every year, and this is nowhere more evident than with the increased success of the Reno Gay Pride Festival, held in mid-August each year. In 2009, Reno Gay Pride takes place Saturday, August 15, right in the heart of downtown, along the scenic Truckee River at Wingfield Park (at N. Arlington Ave. and W. 1st St.). This day-long event draws not only GLBT residents and friends in Reno but also quite a few folks from nearby Lake Tahoe. Book rooms and compare rates on hotels in Reno during Gay Pride
