The largest city in Rhode Island, Providence is the host of Rhode Island PrideFest during the second half of June - the date of PrideFest and the Night Gay Pride Parade are June 15, 2013. This event basically functions as Providence Gay Pride and Newport Gay Pride all rolled into one statewide celebration.

Set for Saturday from noon until 7:30 pm, PrideFest takes place at South Water Street, right alongside the Providence River. The headlining entertainer this year is Broadway star Frenchie Davis, with additional performances by a number of other acts.
That same evening, Saturday at 8:30 pm, the Illuminated Night Gay Pride Parade commences downtown by Kennedy Plaza, moves down Washington Street, across Empire Street, and up Weybosset before ending at Dorrance Street.
Additionally, plenty of gay-popular restaurants, hotels, and shops will be extra busy during this busy time, and catering heavily to LGBT visitors, and also be sure to take a look at our Providence Gay Nightlife Guide.
