In past years, a Monterey Gay Pride Festival has been held in July, although none took place last year. There was, however, a Pride Family Picnic in August, which is expected to take place again in 2013. Check the events calendar for details on what's happening.
Gay-friendly bars, restaurants, hotels, and shops are likely to have more going on throughout the week leading up to Monterey Pride.
