The largest city in Tennessee, Memphis is the host of Mid-South Pride, one of the biggest Gay Pride celebrations in the South, which comprises a series of events that take place in Mid-June and culminate with a huge Parade and Festival. The dates for Mid-South Pride are June 19 to June 21, 2009, and the event takes place the same weekend as Memphis Black Pride.

The Mid-South Gay Pride Parade takes place on Saturday, June 20, at 4 pm, leaving from the First Congregational Church (1000 S. Cooper St. and ending at Peabody Park.
Also on Saturday, June 20, the Mid-South Gay Pride Festival takes place in (Peabody Park.
Other events include a Mid-South Pride and Black Pride picnic slated for Sunday, June 21, in Overton Park.
