One of three Gay Pride events that typically take place around northeastern Florida, Jacksonville Black Pride usually takes place in mid-August - the dates this are August 10 through August 12, 2012.
Jacksonville's River City Pride Festival takes place in mid-October, and Ancient City Gay Pride takes place in nearby St. Augustine in mid-May.

Jacksonville Black Pride is made up of several events and parties held over three days, with much of the action held at official host hotel, the Wyndham Jacksonville Riverwalk, and other events at area gay bars, such as Metro. These include a kick-off party, "sip and see" meet and greet, movie screenings, "Mind, Body & Soul" workshops, cookout, a family picnic, worship service, and big parties each night.
