For many years known as West Hollywood's only gay (and clothing-optional) men's resort, the secluded San Vicente Inn (310-854-6915) has a central location right in the heart of the Santa Monica Boulevard gay bar and restaurant strip, at 845 San Vincente Boulevard. In recent years, however, a number of customers have complained that the property has gone steeply downhill. Relatively new owners have announced plans for a complete overhaul, however, slated for completion in summer 2009, so stay tuned and keep checking the inn's new website.
West Hollywood also has a number of cool, gay-friendly boutique hotels that have opened in recent years, among them the Palihouse Holloway, Hotel Le Petit (formerly known as the Valadon Hotel), the London West Hollywood, ANdAZ West Hollywood, and the Chamberlain West Hollywood. Other gay-popular hotels of note in West Hollywood include Chateau Marmont, Le Parc Suite Hotel, Le Montrose Suite Hotel, and the Ramada West Hollywood.
