Ogunquit Museum of American Art

Housed in a sleek modern building on a lush lawn by the sea, the Ogunquit Museum of American Art is on the south side of town, a bit beyond Perkins Cove and its popular restaurants and shops. The collection here includes a number of outstanding American pieces, some by gay painters, such as Charles Demuth and Marsden Hartley. The museum hosts a number of worthwhile rotating exhibits throughout the year.
