It's a kinda hokey way to tour Key West, and you'll find yourself sitting among dozens of tourists and, in particular, passengers from visiting cruise ships, but the Conch Tour Train does give a thorough and informative overview of this historic city. The tours last about 90 minutes, are offered from 9 until 4:30 daily, and depart from Lower Duval Street. You're pulled behind a faux train engine in goofy little yellow cars.
For a much gayer Key West overview, book one of the great Gay Key West Trolley tours, presented by the Key West Business Guild on Saturday mornings at 10:50 am. The tours last about 70 minutes and leave from the business guild headquarters at 501 Truman Avenue; called the guild at 305-294-4603 for more info.
