Bobby Monkey's gay bar, on Simonton Street

Every fun-loving little gay town, even one geared toward tourists, needs a fun-loving little gay bar that's geared largely toward locals. This isn't to say that festive Bobby Monkey's doesn't have appeal for visitors - it's friendly and with plenty of diversions (karaoke on Sundays, pool playing, cheap drink specials), and it's a short walk from other Key West gay nightspots, such as 801, Bourbon Street Pub, and Aqua. Bobby's (305-294-2655) is at 900 Simonton Street, a block off of Duval.
