John F. Kennedy (JFK) Street, in Cambridge

One of the primary commercial strips in the progressive city of Cambridge, which is just across the river from Boston, is John F. Kennedy Street (JFK Street), which forms the western boundary of Harvard Yard and Harvard Square, adjacent to prestigious Harvard University. JFK Street is lined with excellent, gay-friendly restaurants, with an especially fine variety of ethnic spots. The famed Coop at Harvard Square bookstore is also along JFK Street, on the west side of Harvard Square.
