Opened in 1912 and renowned as one of America's, and Major League's Baseball's, truly iconic sports stadiums, Fenway Park is home to the Boston Red Sox and also the centerpiece of the Fenway neighborhood, which was popular for many years as a favorite gay-clubbing area. In June 2011, the Red Sox joined with a growing number of MLB teams to announce that it would be producing a video as part of the "It Gets Better" campaign against anti-gay bullying - the move was inspired by a courageous petition effort begun by a 12-year-old Red Sox fan.

On the park's northern border, Landsdowne Street is still lined with nightclubs and bars, and although they mostly have a mainstream following, the House of Blues does host the wildly popular gay dance party, Epic Saturdays. And a couple of blocks south of the park you'll find Ramrod and Machine gay bars, which are close to the beautiful Back Bay Fens park. Fenway Park is at Yawkey Way and Brookline Avenue.
