An expansive, decidedly glamorous restaurant and supper-club-style lounge on the north side of Palm Springs, Dink's Restaurant & Ultra Lounge (2080 N. Palm Canyon Dr., 760-327-7676) caters to a mixed gay-straight crowd. Just across the street from the popular gay bar Toucans, Dink's has an extensive list of wines, beers, and nicely mixed cocktails; drag shows, cabaret, and live bands; a large outdoor section with VIP cabanas (think bottle service and private parties), and one of the snazziest lounges in the city, with an impressive sound system, retractable walls and roof, and huge 42-inch video screens.
