Polo Club, Hartford, Connecticut

Generally the more crowded of Hartford's two gay clubs (the other is Chez Est, just a short drive away), the Polo Club (678 Maple Ave., 860-278-3333) is in the city's South End, very close to the bustling "Little Italy" restaurant scene along Franklin Avenue, a couple blocks east. This diverse hangout, drawing a racially mixed and age-varied bunch (as well as a mix of gay men and lesbians) is most popular during its Simply Diva drag shows on Saturdays, but Friday Latin nights are also good fun.
