Gio's, Winnipeg, Manitoba

Gio's (155 Smith St., 204-786-1236) is a bit different from typical gay bars - it's actually a private club operated by the nonprofit Oscar Wilde Memorial Society, which means that visitors are quite welcome but will have to pay $10 for a membership. Once inside this downtown establishment that's close to Winnipegs's other two gay bars (Club 200 and Fame), you'll find good-size dance floor that regularly presents drag shows and other events. There's also karaoke on Wednesdays. Gio's is 18-and-over.
