Drawing a loyal crowd of bears, daddies, leather dudes, and generally rough-and-ready guys since it opened in 1977, Clubhouse II
(2650 E. Oakland Park Blvd.
, 954-566-6750) is the more retro (some might say frozen in time) and laid-back of Fort Lauderdale's bathhouses. It's not fancy as popular Club Fort Lauderdale
bathhouse and can be a little tricky to find (it's inside the Park-Lane Building strip mall), and the prices are about the same as others in town, yet the facilities are less snazzy. But this facility with 47 private rooms has its loyal adherents, mostly drawn by the butch clientele.
