Pied Bar, on Commercial Street

Provincetown's longest-running lesbian bar, Pied Bar (aka Pied Piper Bar) (193A Commercial St., 508-487-1527) is highly popular because of its expansive deck, affording great views of the water. There's a nightly at 6:30 after-tea-dance party held here, following the tea dance at the Boatslip, and the dancing and socializing are good fun here into the wee hours. Although Pied has an especially strong reputation as a women's bar, the crowd is often quite mixed, and totally integrated for tea dances. Anytime you visit here, you're apt to encounter a very friendly and welcoming staff, plus excellent music and that magical view over the Provincetown Harbor.
