Antigone Books, an indie bookstore with feminist/LGBT slant on 4th Avenue

Antigone Books (411 N. 4th Ave., 520-792-3715) has been a fixture along funky North 4th Avenue in downtown Tucson for years, long cultivating a reputation for carrying an especially good selection of feminist, LGBT, and politically progressive titles. Popular with students from nearby University of Arizona, Antigone has book signings and events regularly and is always an excellent spot not only for literary browsing but great people-watching.
