Apex Nightclub, Dupont Circle

Back in the day, this space that used to be called Badlands drew a young, hunky, sweaty crowd for late-night dancing and carousing. It's now called Apex Nightclub (1415 22nd St., 202-296-0505), but the club continues to cater heavily to the under-30, stand-and-model set. It's just off P Street, near several other gay bars (Omega, the Fireplace), and there are a few spaces inside for mingling - a video bar, dance floor, and some other nooks. Drag shows, karaoke, and go-go dancers are among the club's bonus features.
