Diverse and lively Adams Morgan, a gay-friendly residential neighborhood north of Dupont Circle and the U Street corridors, is also home to a great mix of restaurants, including quite a few establishments specializing in ethnic cuisine - Grill From Ipanema (Brazilian), Perry's (Japanese), Meskerem (Ethiopian), and many others. A good place for a stroll is around the junction of junction of Columbia Road Northwest and 18th Street Northwest - walk south from here on either street, and you'll find many of the area's top restaurants. Stroll just a bit north, and you'll reach the city's National Zoo.
