At the tres gay intersection of Belmont and Halsted, the long-running Spin Nightclub (800 W. Belmont Ave., 773-327-7711) keeps the scene interesting with its eclectic theme nights and events, from "bear shower contests" to Thursday's festive industrial-synthpop-new wave night to the fun drag presented on Fierce Fridays. Spin is one of Lakeview's top gay standards, and it has an especially strong following with younger revelers. Around the corner is Berlin nightclub, and Jack's on Halsted is just across the street.
