There's only one gay bar in Las Vegas directly on the famous Strip, and it's hardly surprising that Krave Nightclub (3663 Las Vegas Blvd. S, 702-290-0436) is one of the chicest, most popular, and wildest GLBT nightclub in the city. Located at the Harmon Avenue entrance to the Miracle Mile Shops at Planet Hollywood Resort and Casino, the cavernous club with a huge dance floor pulses nightly, offering a variety of theme-driven parties and events, including after-hours dancing, lesbian parties, foam parties, gay comedy evenings, and strippers.

Some of the country's top DJs typically fly in to host huge blow-outs on Saturdays as well as certain other nights. The one drawback about Krave, at least if you're unused to the expense of big cities, is the high cover charges (generally $20, and more for special events) and steep drink prices, but the prices are in line with other big clubs on the Strip. The crowds at Vegas gay clubs can be a little spotty, especially as you hit the smaller neighborhood joints on the outskirts of the city, but Krave is reliably fun and packed most evenings, and the sound system and interior are impressive.
