La Dolce Vita - photo by Andrew CollinsEver-fabulous and nearly always sunny Palm Springs has kicked full into its prime vacation season, and this scenic Southern California city's numerous gay and gay-friendly resorts are now filling up with travelers, many escaping from colder and wetter climes. One of my favorite properties in town, the clothing-optional La Dolce Vita Resort & Spa, has launched an effort to assist the anti-bullying program that the LGBT Community Center of the Desert recently developed.

Here's how it works: from December 1, 2012 through January 31, 2013, La Dolce Vita will donate $5 to the center's anti-bullying program for every time a guest books a spa appointment or reserves an overnight stay. It's a pretty wonderful way to help, since guests get to enjoy the resort's gracious grounds and many amenities - from a pair of pools and hot tubs to the first-rate spa. Of course, you can always go above and beyond and make an additional contribution yourself to LGBT Community Center of the Desert - check out their donations page for details.

Here's a full list of some of the top gay resorts and gay-friendly mainstream hotels in Palm Springs, including a few more details about La Dolce Vita.
