Vermont Gay Pride and Northern Decadence Join Forces for Sept. 22 Festival

Burlington's festive Vermont Gay Pride celebration, which had been held in previous years in late July, has moved to a new time this year: Saturday, September 22. The event, which has grown steadily in popularity over the years, moves to a favorite time for visitors to northern Vermont, as this is prime foliage season and a beautiful time to tour the area. It's also expected that attendance will be higher this year, because students at University of Vermont and other nearby colleges will be back on campus. Additionally, the new Northern Decadence Food & Travel Expo, which was developed last year as an LGBT event for autumn, will take place in conjunction with the Vermont Gay Pride festival, that same Saturday afternoon of September 22. Both events are taking place on the west side of downtown Burlington, at Battery Park.
