Opened last fall by Creative Concepts, the same team behind such trendsetting establishments as The Apartment and Food Central, the much-acclaimed three-level restaurant and nightclub known as The Geisha has recently launched a fun new gay party, GLAM, to take place on Tuesdays. It's one of several see-and-be-seen events taking place regularly at this stylish hangout with a central location just off of Fuxing Road, a short walk from the South Shaanxi Road (Line 10) transit station. The Geisha comprises a hip, darkly lighted restaurant on the ground floor serving creative fare that mixes Western and Japanese culinary traditions; an intimate second-floor space with booth seating, a dance floor, and a DJ booth; and a swish sushi-and-sake bar on the third floor, complete with a rooftop terrace.
