Gay Beach Vacations in Spain: Barcelona, Sitges, Ibiza, and Torremolinos
A lovely country in so many regards, Spain continues to grow in popularity one of Europe's leading gay destinations, earning particular kudos among beach-goers. The world-class city of Barcelona is your best bet for an urban gay beach adventure in Spain, and you can easily combine a visit there with a trip to nearby Sitges, a low-keyed, artsy beach town about 45 minutes away by train. The other quite famous gay Spain beach getaway is the Mediterranean island of Ibiza, well-regarded with sun-lovers and circuit-party-revelers. A relatively more recent player in the gay-tourism game is Torremolinos, an Andalusian fishing village along the Costa del Sol that has lately become a favorite getaway with the GLBT set.
Here's a list of 20 top gay-friendly beach cities, which includes Barcelona, and a second list focused of 20 smaller (under 150,000 residents) gay beach destinations, among them Sitges and Ibiza. For gay travel info on Torremolinos, check out the excellent site Gay Info Torremolinos.

Torremolinos is indeed a very vibrant destination. Less known than sitges internationally it is favourite with Madrid guys and those from Sevilla, Granada and the whole coast Malaga – Gibraltar. So you get lots of very handsome guys and young crowd. Gay village is very compact, within 2min walk you will find more than 30 gay venues. What distinguish Torre from Sitges and Gran Canaria is some southern vide and totally awsome clubs. The biggest one Passion is an Ibiza like club with 2000 crowd on Fridays and Saturdays organizing huge parties starring porn actors like Francois Sagat and best DJ´s. Then just like Sitges Torremolinos is 20 min away from Malaga – a big city to shop till you drop and great culture.
Many of my friends from London discovered Torremolinos switching from Sitges. We are going to Torre this winter to party at night and to ski daytime which is 2 hours drive.
Sounds awsome!
Es cavallet is the best beach in Ibiza for Guys..great little chiringuito at the south end.
